HUGE game tonight in Austin!

Posted on: February 11, 2008 11:53 am

Tonight could make or break the Jayhawks season!  The horns are a VERY talented team and could cause a ton of problems for the hawks tonight.  Yes, they no longer have Kevin Durant, but this team has a ton of young talented guards and a decent frontcourt as well.  We are going to need to play at our best to win at Texas!  Because we swept them last year... they will be ready for this one!  Mario, Russ and Sherron are going to have their hands full with DJ.  I my eyes, he is the most complete guard in the BIG XII... maybe even the country.

The Jayhawks played well from what I hear against Baylor... but no 3's?  How does a team score 100 points without making a single 3 point basket?  I was VERY happy to see that both Russ and Sherron had great games!  And we shot over 75% from the FT line again!  Looks like Bill might be spending more time in practice shooting FT's!

I am really looking forward to watching this game tonight!  I think it should be an "Instant Classic".... as they say.

I must also say... I was shocked that Clemson blew that game last night against UNC... and how about that UCLA loss.  Looks like Kansas should climb in the rankings again this afternoon before tonights game.

Please guard A.J. Abrams Jayhawks.  I don't think Texas can beat KU unless he makes 6-8 3pointers.  Which is possible if he gets hot.  I don't think that Texas can match up with Jackson/Kaun/Arthur/Aldrich.

I agree... stoping DJ is key tonight for the Jayhawks.  Jackson and Slim will be key!  They most give help when DJ drives to the hole and block some shots.  WITHOUT making stupid fouls!
