Tournament talk....

Posted on: February 8, 2008 11:08 am

The big dance is only a month away.  What team(s) do you not want to see on your side of the bracket?  What teams scare you... if any?  What do you guys think about Duke's win at North Carolina?  Do you think Memphis is the real deal?  What about a team like Butler?  Can they make another run this year?  Is the BIG 10 as bad as they look?  What about the PAC 10?  Are they as physical as they looked last night in the UCLA game?  What sleeper teams are going to peak?  UCONN?  Kentucky?

Selection Sunday is one of my favorite days of the year.  I can't wait to see all the possible matchups!  Some I would love to see are:

Kansas State and Indiana:  Eric Gordon against Michael Beasley would be amazing!  I think they would both score 40+ in that game!

Kansas and North Carolina:  I know all Kansas fans would love to see this game in the final.  Roy Williams against Kansas!  I can see the press conference now... Roy crying like a baby... saying how he never wanted to play against Kansas!

Memphis against Duke: I think this game would be very entertaining!  Lots of 3's and great guard play.  Could Derrick Rose handle the pressure as a freshman?

Tennessee against Butler:  Coach Pearl knows all about Butler going back to his days at UW-Milwaukee.

This years tournament is going to be a great one!  I can't wait!

Tournament talk....

Dukies take it to 'em at Chapel Hill.  Darned place is right across the street, yet the atmosphere is sooooooo contentious.  Ultimately, though, Paulus will find a way to mess it up for the Devils in the Four or Eight.  Kid's more erratic than Kramer on Seinfeld.

Crossing my fingers for the Noles to somehow win 4 or 5 more games to get in the Tournament.  This is a problem KU & UT don't have.  18 or 19 wins will guarantee any ACC team entre.  How 'bout a little karma from the bloggers?

I agree with your comments about Paulus.  He reminds me of a player at Kansas back when I was a student.  Jerod Haase.  He played his butt off every game.  But, when his shot was not falling... he killed you!
